Anonymised calling ensures that sensitive phone number information is never shown to any party. This phone masking can be used in the following ways:
The client can use our ‘Get Driver Anonymous Phone’ endpoint during a delivery to request the anonymised phone number of the driver. The client may wish to contact the driver because they are late for pickup for example.
The driver can call the end customer by clicking the ‘Place Information’ call button in the driver app. This call function connects anonymously to the number provided in ‘dropoffs[n].contact.phone’ of your API job creation. The driver may need to call the end customer to inform them that they are waiting at pickup for example.
Please note that, pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the minimisation of personal data is a mandatory requirement. During your integration, we therefore strongly recommend implementing our data masking solution in order to comply with the GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations"
