The way that the Get a job pricing endpoint works is that it returns the largest possible distance for the transport types we have available so we guarantee that the final quoted distance is not greater than the original quote.
However, if we do end up assigning a smaller transport type for a job, the final price may be lower than the original quote. Click here to have further info about package size and transport types mapping.
The price displayed by this endpoint is time-independent, meaning that no matter what moment of the day you request it, for the same job parameters you will get the same price response.
