How do scheduling slots relate to the pickup and dropoff time

If i select a pickup time is it then completed within the start and end time of the pickup slot that matches
And the same with drop off

for example if i ping the pickup slots and get

17:00 - 17:15
17:15 - 17:30
17:30 - 17:45

And then create a job with pick up at 17:20 is the actuary pickup completed between 17:15 - 17:30
And if not how do the slots relate to the time specified

The only relation between the scheduling slots and the job creation request is to make sure the pickup_at value that you are providing in the job creation request is a valid one.
