HOW TO SET UP MY FTP CLIENT AND CONNECT TO YOUR FTP SERVER?
If you wish to use FTP injections, we will create an account, and provide you the credentials to access our server.
To connect to the SFTP server you can use any SFTP client. We will use Cyberduck (free and open source) in this example.
1 - Download Cyberduck FTP client for your OS
2 - Open it and click on “Open Connection”
3 - Choose the right type of server you want to connect to in the dropdown list, in our case “SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)”.
4 - Fill in the information for “Server”, “Port”, “Username” and “Password”. As an alternative to the username and password, you can provide an SSH private key file to authenticate.
5 - Click on “connect” and you should be connected to the server.
HOW TO NAVIGATE WITHIN THE DIRECTORIES?
From the menu dropdown list, you can see the directory you are in.
“/” on the above image corresponds to the root directory of the server.
By moving between the folders, you will see where you are. The image below indicates that you are in the “INPUT” folder.
