We do have a PHP client library available on github that should simplify and accelerate your development.
If the client library is not perfectly up-to-date, feel free to open a Pull Request, we will quickly take it into account.
Notice that we provide client libraries in several languages in addition to the PHP one, we currently have libraries in Ruby and Javascript and are planning to have more languages added soon, stay tuned!
