What’s new?
We’re excited to announce a new webhook event dedicated to split packages in our v3 webhook offering. This feature allows you to track and manage split events seamlessly, improving visibility into split packages.
Why Would a Delivery Be Split?
Deliveries are typically split when the original package exceeds the size or weight restrictions for the assigned transport type.
For reference, you can find our package size mapping here.
How does it work?
The new “Package Split” webhook will notify you as soon as a package is split. The payload will include essential details, such as:
- Client reference of the package
- ID of the original package
- ID of the newly created package resulting from the split
- Reason for the split
This ensures clear identification of all packages involved in a split. For more detailed payload information and examples, check our API Documentation.
What’s the impact?
This webhook provides greater visibility over split packages, enabling end customers to stay informed about their packages while allowing your team to manage splits seamlessly. By improving tracking and clarity, this feature supports smoother operations and enhances the overall delivery experience.
When will this change take place?
